Are you Insured?

Yes. The Doggy Playschool Company is insured with Petplan Sanctuary. Our insurance covers public liability; day care, custody, control and transportation of your dog and loss of keys. However, we will require each client to have their own insurance to cover any incidents onsite

Are you Licensed?

Yes. We are licensed under the Animal Activities Regulations 2018 LICENSE NUMBER: C/21/00240/ANIMAL

Can I meet the team and see the facilities before sending my dog?

Yes. We recommend you do this! However, playschool visits are done out of business times so to preserve security and our playzone leaders concentration while providing care to our dogs. Come and see the place over lunchtimes upon prior approval. Meet the team, ask questions, see exactly where your dog will spend their day, who they’ll be with, and what they’ll be doing. We’re confident that you will be impressed!

Do you have any cameras onsite we can access during the day?

No, not at this time due to security of your dogs. However, this may be a private service we provide moving forward. We do however post photos throughout the day on Facebook and Instagram – which you can see via our site also.

How do you vet a Dog is right for your Playschool?

One of our procedures for accepting a dog is to have an onsite visit and interview. This gives our staff an idea of your dogs social habits.  On site we will have other dogs playing, so we can see the interactions clearly.

We take a comprehensive background history on your dog and a vets letter is required if we feel we need further information of your dogs character: we pay particular attention to the integration and socialisation of your dog while on a trial to make sure he/she fits into the group

What happens if my Dog dosen't get on with another Dog?

We are extremely strict in only accepting social dogs. This ensures all of the dogs are happy in one another’s company, so it is unlikely your dog will not get on with another dog. However, we will have a number of dog packs in any one day playing in different zones and if we do need to adjust a dog we can. If you have any concerns, we can discuss how we can help with their socialisation and other dog groups.

How secure is your Playschool: is my Dog Safe?

Yes – safety is paramount to us. We have secured a 6 ft perimeter fence around the whole site and we have a double gated entrance. Each playzone leader looks after 8-10 dogs only and will be constantly with them. When we pick up and drop off, we secure a lead to your dog prior to leaving your house and it only gets taken off when your dog is secure in a crate in the Playschool bus. Once we arrive at Playschool, we have a secure parking area where the bus parks. This area is then gated prior to taking any dogs out of the Bus, we lead each dog into the Playschool and close the gates, area prior to releasing them from the lead. We have the bus driver who is a dog leader/carer present and a dog carer waiting for the dogs inside the main enclosure.

Do you only accept well-trained Dogs?

No. In fact, one of the reasons people choose The Doggy Playschool is that our structured play zones often help with training. However, we only accept social dogs that have no history of aggression. Playschool is also an amazing place for dogs with little to no recall, as it allows them the ability to feel the freedom of running and playing without the worry from their owner of them not coming back. Recall is one of the skills we will teach all dogs with us, if they don’t have it.

Do I need to be Home when you collect or Drop off my Dog?

No. Most clients are comfortable sharing a set of keys with us, to enable us to collect and drop off your dog even if you are not home. All staff who have responsibility of client’s keys are CRB checked and we are fully insured in the unlikely event we lose a key.

Will my Dog be Supervised at all times?

What happens when it rains or is too cold for my Dog to be outside?

Each zone has a dry shelter for all dogs to escape the weather or have a snooze,

We will also equip each dog with a rain coat to help them stay warm and dry while playing.

If the weather gets too hot or too cold we will bring them home early and in the event, we don’t open the Playschool due to extreme weather, please read our procedures manual on the pricing and onboarding page

I have a Puppy or small dog, can they come to the Day Care Centre?

Yes. Playschool is the perfect environment for your puppy to grow and socialise. We accept puppies once they are out of their vaccination period.

Do I need to Book in the same Days each Week?

Yes depending on which membership option you choose, but it is possible to add additional days or swap days as required with 24 hrs notice. We also provide a membership option for Ad-hoc bookings if you feel your weekly routine will change a lot.

We do close Playschool on bank holidays and the Christmas period.

My Dog dosen't like crates, confined spaces or Cars, will he cope with travelling to and from the centre?

Yes. The crates are vet approved and have more space than necessary for even the bigger breeds.

Very rarely do we find that the dogs have any issues with the van to crates when they have company next to them. However if you would like to discuss this further, please call

Can my Dog stay at the Day care centre overnight?

No. Dogs cannot stay at the Playschool overnight. If you require this service, we will be offering a pet sitting service soon to our members.

Do you offer Day care on the Weekends and Bank Holidays?

The Doggy Playschool Company only operates from Monday-Friday. However, we do offer an overnight service and 1-2-1 private off lead walking  at weekends to our playschool members.

Which Vets do you partner with, incase of an Emergency?

We have formed a partnership with Cotswold Vets Cirenceste. They will take on all emergency cases if we are unable to get hold of the owner/or the preferred vets. All Vets bills are payable by the owner – please refer to our T&Cs
