About Emma
Emma grew up in the idyllic setting of the Duntisbournes, near Cirencester, surrounded by dogs, cats and horses and was a keen eventer until the age of 16. Emma found herself leaving the wilds of Gloucestershire and heading for London, where she spent many years mastering her profession in I.T Software sales and project management. After missing her country roots, she moved back to the Cotswolds in the early 2000’s, became a mother and a few years ago extended her family with 2 beautiful Cocker Spaniels, Mocha and Maisy.
To say they are part of the family is an understatement and as Emmas’ passion for her dogs grew, it led her to re-train in Dog First Aid, gain a diploma in Canine Behaviour and has been awarded the Care, Welfare and Behaviour OFQUAL certificate. Emma is now making her passion for her dogs into a reality, she has managed to open a doggy playschool centre, which is on its way to becoming a world class centre for the day care of dogs.
Emma’s personal development programme is dog welfare and her aim in the near future is to partner with dog charities. The Doggy playschool, is then looking to partner with a local dog charity in or around Cirencester.
It was a report from PDSA in 2018 (the PAW report) that made Emma, Mocha and Maisy re-named The Doggy Playschool Company founder, determined to give every dog an opportunity to thrive.
This report sadly highlighted, there are 1 million dogs, in the UK, which are never walked because owners stated;
- They are scared of their dog being attacked by another dog
- They are too busy
- They are concerned their dogs’ behaviour wasn’t going to be good
- They are concerned their dog will not come back to them, if off the lead
The Doggy Playschool Company, formally Mocha and Maisy Playschool, is a remedy for these issues and provides dogs an affordable place to be every day, allowing every dog owner attending our Playschool time to relax, knowing their dog can be entertained and cared for in the right way.
At Doggy Playschool your dog will be in great company, because we take every dogs safety and day to day fun and exercise very seriously. We treat each dog as an individual, who is just waiting to explore their adventurous side.
